Town and Country — 10 Hour Package - 10% Off

Learning to drive out here has two sides to it - learning in your local area, which usually these areas do not offer enough traffic condition where you will be tested with. This package covers both - getting you started in the local area and then going to the nearby town with traffic conditions.

What you get

• Four automatic driving lessons — one hour each, picked up from your address and worked on locally

• Three traffic training lessons — two hours each, driving into Gympie, Maryborough or Kingaroy for roundabouts, merging, lane changes and street parking

Ten hours of instructor time altogether, for $950 instead of $1,040.

The logbook maths

Queensland records one hour with an accredited instructor as three logbook hours, and caps that credit at 10 instructor hours. This package is exactly 10 hours, so a learner under 25 gets the full 30 logbook hours available under the scheme — the maximum you can claim this way.

Lessons after sunset are the exception. A night lesson counts as either triple time or night hours, not both. If you are short on your 10 night hours, say so and we will plan around it.

If you are 25 or over there is no logbook requirement, so the package is simply ten hours of lessons at a lower rate.

How to use it

Book the lessons as you need them. There is no set order, though most learners get more out of it by doing a local lesson or two first, then working the traffic lessons in once car control is second nature. Your instructor will tell you when you are ready for town.
