Traffic Training Lesson
A two-hour lesson in real traffic. We drive from your place into town so you can practise in traffic, city roundabouts, merging into lanes and parking on a busy street.
Most driving around Glenwood, Bauple, Curra and the surrounding districts is open road. Long stretches, light traffic, and roundabouts you can take at your own pace. That builds good car control, but it does not prepare you for the test.
Your Q-SAFE assessment happens in Gympie, Maryborough or Tewantin. In town, in traffic, at whatever time of day you are booked. If the first busy roundabout you drive is on test day, you will feel it.
What the lesson covers
Roundabouts with real traffic, including multi-lane entries and exits
Merging, lane changes and lane discipline
Traffic lights, filter arrows and turning across traffic
Reverse parallel parking and angle parking on a live street, not an empty car park
Pedestrian crossings, school zones and shared traffic areas
Judging gaps and making decisions without time to think about them
How the two hours work
The lesson runs for two hours from pickup. The drive in is used for open road work — highway merging, overtaking, speed changes and reading hazards early. The middle of the lesson is spent in town traffic. Then we drive you home. None of it is dead time.
Logbook hours
If you are under 25, Queensland requires 100 hours of supervised driving before your practical test, including 10 hours at night. Lessons with an accredited instructor are recorded at triple time, capped at 10 instructor hours.
A two-hour traffic training lesson is recorded as six logbook hours and uses two of your ten eligible hours. If you are 25 or over you do not need a logbook, though the practice still counts.
Who this suits
Learners who have their basic car control sorted and now need traffic exposure before booking a test. It also suits anyone who has been driving on rural roads for years on a learner licence and has never had a reason to drive in town.
